Chuck
Elderd, Film Commissioner
Mr. Elderd plans, organizes and
implements the film liaison program in Palm Beach County. He is
responsible for expediting and approving applications for
filming in approved "One-Stop" municipalities/taxing districts
and all county departments, maintaining the status of
“One-Stop" permitting, fulfilling producer’s requests for
location photos, and location site coordination with local
municipalities. The Film Commissioner will work in unison
with the State of Florida Governor's Office of Film and
Entertainment, Film Florida, local municipalities and
surrounding counties to assist with joint filming projects.
He also represents Palm Beach County at industry sales missions,
trade shows, conferences, and film festivals.
Michelle
Hillery,
Director of Operations and Programs
Ms.
Hillery supports the work of the Film Commissioner in
facilitating the Palm Beach County Film and Television
Commission's (FTC) mission. She is responsible for supervising
the staff and maintaining the operation of the film office. In
addition, she is responsible for the development and
implementation of the FTC's contract(s), marketing program,
budget analysis, public relations efforts, website coordination,
policies and procedures and the Internship Program. Ms. Hillery
is responsible for the oversight of an annual Economic
Development contract and programs relating to education
including the Palm Beach International Film Festival's (PBIFF)
Student Showcase of Films. Ms. Hillery also acts as the liaison
between the FTC and the PBIFF facilitating various government
documentation, workshops, and workforce programs.
Jill
Margolius,
Production Manager
Ms. Margolius is
responsible for the coordination work involving the “One-Stop”
permitting process for film, television, video and print
production in Palm Beach County. Ms.
Margolius
is responsible for processing applications for permits,
establishing relations with the “One-Stop” contacts, location
site coordination with local municipalities and county
departments.
Christine
Tieche,
Office
Coordinator
Ms. Tieche is responsible for the day-to-day functions of the office, processing accounts receivable and processing production reports. Ms. Tieche’s other responsibilities include website maintenance, writing press releases, work relating to film festivals, the FTC’s Internship Program and compilation of the annual production history.
Amy Peterson-Berry,
Administrative Assistant
Ms. Peterson-Berry is responsible for organizing and scheduling FTC's
monthly Board meetings, preparing agenda packages, memorandums
and correspondence, answering phones, coordinating projects with
interns, and maintaining official records and files for the
FTC. Ms. Peterson-Berry also acts as the back up to the Production
Manager and Production Coordinator in processing applications
for filming permits and the coordination of producer's
requests.
Alex Marquez,
Education Consultant
Mr. Marquez is responsible for the administrative duties related to a special contract funded through the Palm Beach County Office of Economic Development (EDO) to create and advance film and television education programs in Palm Beach County. His responsibilities include organizing paperwork, minutes and back-up for meetings, planning and scheduling for the Student Showcase of Films program and 'From Script to Screen' workshops held during the Palm Beach International Film Festival, coordination of the On Location Education Program, participation in the SSOF portion of the annual PBIFF television show and compilation of the Production Education brochure.
