The Advertising Federation of the Greater Palm Beaches along
with the Palm Beach County Film & Television Commission (FTC)
and the Brazilian Court sponsored the first annual Reel Event on
May 23, 2007. The Reel Event, generated from a state wide
initiative called Production Partners, is a networking and
communications program created to encourage and foster the
working relationship between Florida’s advertising and the film
& entertainment industries.
The overall goal of Palm Beach County’s Reel Event is to
encourage cross utilization of resources, information and job
sharing between both industries thereby strengthening Palm Beach
County’s economy by keeping production business “at home”. Two
minute demo reels from 17 production companies were compiled and
then played and distributed throughout the event to showcase the
vast amount of local production talent to South Florida
advertising and marketing professionals.
